Day 07: Break!
With no sleep, we hit the beach walking. We walked the length of Boracay twice (so some calories burned). No scale in our room so all bets are off!

Day 06: Steady
Loading up for the coming trip… With the packing and the last-minute work deliverables, I don’t expect to sleep.

Long day today with the kids. Then dinner and drinks to celebrate Quenby’s birthday.

Day 02: Re-Run
Ran 5km today with better results. I stretched extensively prior to the run which cured me of any cramps. I was planning to run 7km but it started drizzling so I shortened my run.

Square One
Did my first run in months the other night. I decided not to overdo it by sticking to a 4k run. My first kilometer was alright though I could not get the rhythm that I wanted (or was accustomed to). It was awkward, actually.
And then it hit me on my second kilometer: my right calf started cramping mildly but I decided to grit it and power on through. eventually, it went away but not until other parts of my body started complaining as well.
Finished it but it was oh-so-tough! Sigh, will try again later.

Ran for the first time in 3 months (my last 5k was way back in November 28, 2010). It was tough: I was sluggish and strangely enough, it was my shoulders and upper back that hurt more than my legs and feet. The music that came out of my iPod shuffle didn’t help: it was too chilled out. My run started off with The Smith’s This Charming Man and ended with Lloyd Cole’s Are You Ready To Be Heartbroken.
